Take I-75 to I-275. Exit at Colerain Ave. Go north on Colerain past Rumpke Mountain to New London Road. Turn right and proceed to 1562 on the right. The house sits back from the road.
Bring folding chairs and your checkbooks–we have lots of plants for sale.
Connie asks that everyone bring potted hostas or other perennials for the plant sale at the Hosta show. We all have plants we can pot up to help out. Please bring them with you to the meeting.
We have a busy day planned. We will be giving out the adopt-a-hostas and daylilies. The rules are the same as last year. When you sign up for an adopt-a-plant number you are accepting responsibility for caring for the plant for the next two years for daylilies and three years for hostas. Plants are the property of GCDHS and if for any reason you cannot care for them they need to be returned to the adoption committee. You must have been a GCDHS member for at least one year and a member of one of the two AHSs. This year we have a list of members for both societies. You may not have any adopt-a-plants outstanding. Only one member per household may adopt a plant. There will be separate signup sheets for daylilies and hostas. If eligible you may adopt one hosta and one daylily.
We will have a silent auction set up for extra fans of daylilies and will conduct a live auction of hostas that were adopted in 2008. If you have any questions regarding what you need to bring back you may call me after 5PM at 859-781-6237 or Sue Helder at 513-791-5205.
The club bed presale plants will also be delivered for those of you who ordered and paid for them.
